67X Response to initial offer of compensation and determination of disputes

(1) Subject to subsection (2), Parts 10 and 11 (excluding section 104) and sections 33, 34, 35 and 36 of the Land Acquisition and Compensation Act 1986, with any necessary changes, apply to the response to the initial offer of compensation and determination of disputes under this Subdivision as if an offer made by the Secretary under section 67W were an offer made under section 31 of the Land Acquisition and Compensation Act 1986 and for that purpose—

(a) the Rail Management Act 1996 is the special Act; and

(b) the Secretary is the Authority.

(2) Sections 34(1)(a) and 35(1)(a) of the Land Acquisition and Compensation Act 1986 apply for the purposes of subsection (1) as if a reference to the prescribed form were a reference to a form approved by the Secretary.
