4.1 Application of Part 4
(1) Subject to subsection (2), this Part applies in relation to a device to which an applicable standard applies. (2) Sections 4.3, 4.4, 4.5 and 4.6 do not apply in relation to a variant of a device (original device) if: (a) the relevant requirements of this Part have been met in relation to the original device; and (b) the radiofrequency emission characteristics of the variant are not likely to exceed those of the original device.
