Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation removes three outdated sets of rules that governed radio-telephone exchange services.

What it does

Repeals (cancels) old regulations from 1956, 1960, and 1973 that previously controlled how radio-telephone exchanges operated
Does not introduce any new rules—simply clears the obsolete regulations from the books

Who it affects Primarily affects telecommunications providers and operators who were technically still subject to the old 1950s–70s era rules. For most people, this removes defunct red tape without changing how modern phone services work.

Why it matters This is a “housekeeping” measure that tidies up Commonwealth law by removing regulations that are no longer needed, reducing regulatory clutter without creating new obligations.
