58 Exemption for radiation apparatus storage rooms

(1)  In this regulation –

radiation apparatus storage room, in a place, means a radiation place that is used only to store radiation apparatus.

(2)  A person applying for a certificate of registration for a radiation apparatus storage room in a place is exempt from the operation of section 20(1)(b)(iii) of the Act in respect of the requirement that a current certificate of compliance for the radiation storage room accompany the application.

(3)  It is a condition of the exemption specified in subregulation (2) that the person provide to the Director of Public Health a floor plan of the place that details the location of each radiation apparatus storage room in that place.
