14 Diagnostic or therapeutic procedures A person who uses a regulated radiation source to carry out a diagnostic or therapeutic procedure involving the irradiation of a person (the treated person) at the request of a health practitioner must ensure that the treated person does not receive a dose of radiation from the procedure that is not in accordance with the request. Note 2 Health practitioner includes a doctor registered under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (ACT).
