42 Surrender of authority (1) The holder of an authority may surrender the authority by written notice given to the Chief Health Officer. (2) The surrender takes effect on: (a) the day the notice is given to the Chief Health Officer; or (b) if a later day of effect is stated in the notice – the later day.
