sec.252AB Applying for review

A person may apply to the panel for a review, under this part, of a racing decision of a steward to— take disciplinary action relating to the person’s approval or licence; or take exclusion action against the person; or otherwise impose a penalty, whether monetary or non-monetary, on the person. The application must— be made to the panel within 3 business days after the day the person is given notice of the racing decision; and be in the approved form; and be accompanied by the fee prescribed by regulation. The chairperson may decide to accept the application after the period mentioned in subsection (2) (a) has ended if, in the opinion of the chairperson, it would be unjust to refuse to accept the application. The making of the application does not affect the operation of the racing decision or prevent the decision being implemented. However, subsection (4) does not apply to the extent the operation of the racing decision is stayed under section 252AT .
