sec.196 Power of destruction
An authorised officer may destroy an animal, or cause it to be destroyed, if— an authorised officer has seized the animal under this part or the person in charge of the animal has given written consent to the destruction; and the authorised officer reasonably believes that the animal is in pain to the extent that it is cruel to keep it alive.
- (a) an authorised officer has seized the animal under this part or the person in charge of the animal has given written consent to the destruction; and
- (b) the authorised officer reasonably believes that the animal is in pain to the extent that it is cruel to keep it alive.
