The show cause notice must state the following— the Minister proposes to cancel the offcourse approval; the grounds for the proposed cancellation; an outline of the facts and circumstances forming the basis for the grounds; that the racing bookmaker may, within a stated period (the show cause period ), make submissions to the Minister to show why the offcourse approval should not be cancelled. The show cause period must end at least 28 days after the racing bookmaker is given the show cause notice.
