46Race control body

46 Race control body (1) The Minister may, by Gazette notice: (a) appoint a body corporate to be the race control body for one or more of the following: (i) thoroughbred racing; (ii) harness racing; (iii) greyhound racing; and (b) specify the race clubs over which it exercises control. (2) The Minister may appoint the Commission as the race control body for thoroughbred racing if: (a) there is no suitable body corporate for this purpose; or (b) the appointment of a body corporate as the race control body should be revoked for non-compliance with this Act. (3) Subject to subsection (1)(a), the Commission is the race control body for harness racing and greyhound racing.
