26 Harness club—appointment of administrator (1) The Minister may, if advised to do so by the commission following an inquiry, suspend the appointments of the directors of the harness club and appoint an administrator to deal with its affairs until such time as new directors can conveniently be appointed in accordance with its constitution. Note For the making of appointments, see the Legislation Act, pt 19.3. (2) Where the Minister acts under this section, the Minister must ensure that— (a) the Legislative Assembly is informed of the action; and (b) a copy of the advice of the commission is presented to the Assembly; within 7 sitting days after the action. (3) To remove any doubt, the Legislation Act, division 19.3.3 does not apply to an appointment of an administrator under subsection (1). (4) The Legislation Act, section 254A (Delegation by Minister) does not apply to a function under this section.
