Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Act scraps three old laws from the 1940s that forced exporters to pay charges (fees) when sending rabbit skins overseas.

What it does:

Cancels three outdated Acts — the Rabbit Skins Export Charges Act 1940, its 1942 amendment, and the related Appropriation Act (which directed the collected money to government spending)
Ends the export charges — stops the government from collecting these specific fees on rabbit skin exports

Who it affects:

Businesses and individuals trading in rabbit skins who were previously required to pay these export charges

Why it matters:

Removes a financial burden on exporters by eliminating a specific industry tax
Cleans up the statute books by removing World War II-era revenue measures that had become obsolete by 1955
