Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This regulation cancels (repeals) emergency quarantine rules that were put in place in July 1913 under the Quarantine Act.

The important exception: If you had already left the Sydney quarantine area before 26 November 1913 to travel to another State, the old rules still apply to you. This protects travelers who were mid-journey when the regulations changed.

Why it matters: It prevents a legal gap for people who left Sydney under the previous restrictions but hadn't yet reached their destination when the rules were scrapped.
