#### 9 Appointment of officers responsible for human quarantine (1) The Director of Human Quarantine and any Chief Quarantine Officers (Human Quarantine) shall be appointed by the Minister by writing. (2) The Director of Human Quarantine may, by writing, appoint to be a quarantine officer (human quarantine): (a) an APS employee; or (b) a State officer; or (c) a police officer; or (d) a protective service officer; or (e) an employee of a body corporate established or continued in existence for a public purpose by or under a Commonwealth law, if the body corporate is prescribed for the purposes of this paragraph. (4) A State officer may be appointed to be a Chief Quarantine Officer under this section.
