#### 4 Procurement for emergencies 4 Procurement for emergencies > > (1) A government agency head or a government agency employee nominated for the purposes of this clause by the agency head may, in any case of emergency, authorise the procurement of goods and services to a value sufficient to meet that particular emergency. > > > (2) Every authorisation under this clause must be reported to the Board as soon as possible. > > > (3) Section 176 of the Act does not apply in relation to the procurement of goods and services under this clause. > > > (4) This clause does not authorise the procurement of goods and services in excess of those necessary to meet the immediate needs of any emergency.
