173 Notification to a person who has become excess
(1) For the purposes of paragraphs 87JB (1) (b), 87JC (1) (b), 87SB (1) (b), 87SC (1) (b), 87UB (1) (b) and 87UC (1) (b) of the Act, an officer or a person must be notified:
(a) in writing delivered by hand or security post; or
(b) if he or she agrees — by electronic mail or facsimile message.
(2) The recipient is taken to be notified on the day on which:
(a) the delivery is made by hand; or
(b) in any other case — the mail or facsimile message is sent.
