104 Interpretation
(1) In this Part:
> promotion has the same meaning as in subsection 33AAA (1) of the Act.
> Promotion Appeal Committee means a Promotion Appeal Committee established under section 9 of the Merit Protection (Australian Government Employees) Act 1984.
(3) In this Part, a reference to an office higher than an office held by an officer shall be read as a reference to an office to which the officer would have to be promoted if the officer were to hold that office.
(4) In this Part, a reference, in relation to an officer, to a higher office shall be read as a reference to an office that is higher than the office held by the officer.
(5) In this Part, a reference to an office higher than another office shall be read as including a reference to an office of a higher classification than that other office.
