### 47 Transitional provision
> A pension that is payable under this Part by virtue of the amendment made to the 1973 Act by the [Parliamentary Superannuation Amendment Act 1989](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1989-042) is not payable in respect of any period before the latter Act received the Royal Assent.
