### 31 Termination of pensions in certain cases
> > (1) If a person who is receiving or is entitled to receive a pension in respect of his or her service as a member to whom this Part applies again becomes a member of either House, his or her right to that pension is suspended while he or she continues to be such a member.
>
> > (2) If a person who commuted the whole or part of a pension to which he or she was entitled under [Subdivision 1](#HP3@HD4@Hd1@EN) in respect of his or her service as a member again became a member of either House before 1 July 1999 and repaid into the PS Fund an amount equal to the lump sum received by him or her, that person's rights and liabilities under these regulations are taken to be the same as if he or she had never received the lump sum payment.
