96B Transfer on advice of joint selection committee
(1) The head of service may transfer an officer to fill a vacant office in
an administrative unit if—
(a) a joint selection committee is established in relation to the
transfer; and
(b) the committee recommends the transfer.
(2) The joint selection committee must make a recommendation to the
head of service about the transfer.
(3) The head of service must consult the director-general of the
administrative unit about the recommendation.
(4) The head of service may—
(a) accept the recommendation; or
(b) not accept the recommendation.
(5) If an officer is transferred in accordance with a recommendation
under subsection (2) the head of service must notify the transfer in the
gazette.
(6) If an officer is transferred on the recommendation of a union agreed
joint selection committee—the decision to transfer is not an
appellable decision or a reviewable decision.
(7) In this section:
