3 Use of crossed cheques until 1 July 2028

(1) Before 1 July 2028, a licensee or agent of a licensee who must pay total prize money to a person by electronic funds transfer under section 15 or 16 does not commit an offence if the money is instead paid by a crossed cheque payable to the person.

(2) In this section—

crossed cheque means a cheque crossed as referred to in the Cheques Act 1986 of the Commonwealth, section 53.
