### 74 Information about progress of investigation > > (1)  A public body conducting an investigation of a disclosed matter must, at the request of the Ombudsman or person who made the disclosure, give the Ombudsman or the person (as the case requires) reasonable information about the investigation. > > > (2)  A public body must give the information within 28 days of receiving the request. > > > (3)  A public body is not required to give the information to the person who made the disclosure if – > > > > > > (a) the information requested has already been given to that person; or > > > > > > > (b) the giving of the information requested would endanger the safety of any person or prejudice the conduct of the investigation.
