### 41 Referral of matters for investigation otherwise than under this Act > [*\[Section 41 Amended by No. 4 of 2021, s. 27, Applied:01 Mar 2021\]*](/view/html/inforce/2021-03-01/act-2021-004#GS27@EN) The Ombudsman may refer a disclosed matter to the Commissioner of Police, the Auditor-General, a Commission under the [Commissions of Inquiry Act 1995](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-1995-070) , a prescribed public body or the holder of a prescribed office to investigate if the Ombudsman considers it appropriate to do so.
