#### 96 Approval to exhume remains 96 Approval to exhume remains > > (1) The Secretary may— > > > > > (a) grant an approval to exhume the remains of a body, subject to any conditions specified in the approval, or > > > > > (b) refuse the application. > > > (2) In granting an approval to exhume the remains of a body under this section, the Secretary must impose conditions the Secretary considers necessary to ensure the remains of the body are treated with dignity and respect during the exhumation. > > > (3) An approval granted under this section remains valid for 3 months from the date of the approval or for a period agreed to by the Secretary.
