23 Provision of staff and contractors (1) There may be employed under Part 3 of the **Public Administration Act 2004** any employees that are necessary to assist the Chief Health Officer in the performance of his or her powers, duties and functions under this Act or any other Act or under any regulations made under this or any other Act. (2) The Chief Health Officer may enter into agreements or arrangements with a person for the purpose of obtaining appropriate expertise to assist the Chief Health Officer in the performance of powers, duties and functions under this Act or any other Act or under any regulations made under this or any other Act.
