212A Abrogation of privilege against self-incrimination (1) A person is not excused from complying with a requirement under or for the purposes of Part 8A to provide information on the ground that the information— (a) might incriminate the person; or (b) may make the person liable to a penalty. (2) Information provided by a natural person in compliance with the requirement— (a) is not admissible in evidence against the natural person in a criminal proceeding, other than a proceeding in respect of the provision of false or misleading information; and (b) must not be used in any action, proceeding or process that may make the person liable to a criminal penalty, other than a proceeding in respect of the provision of false or misleading information.
