21 Functions and powers of the Chief Health Officer The functions and powers of the Chief Health Officer are— (a) to develop and implement strategies to promote and protect public health and wellbeing; S. 21(b) amended by No. 53/2021 s. 7. (b) to provide advice to the Premier, the Minister or the Secretary on matters relating to public health and wellbeing; (c) to publish on a biennial basis and make available in an accessible manner to members of the public a comprehensive report on public health and wellbeing in Victoria; (d) to perform any other functions or exercise any powers specified under this Act or any other Act or under any regulations made under this or any other Act.
