#### 123 Public health officers may give certain orders under Local Government Act 1993 123 Public health officers may give certain orders under [Local Government Act 1993](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1993-030) > > (1) For the purpose of protecting public health, the public health officer for a part of the State may exercise the functions of a council to give orders Nos 7, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 22A and 25 under the Table to section 124 of the [Local Government Act 1993](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1993-030). > > > (2) The [Local Government Act 1993](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1993-030) applies to and in respect of the exercise of such a function by a public health officer in the same way as it applies to and in respect of the exercise of such a function by a council. > > **pt 6, div 3 (ss 90–96):** Rep 2017 No 43, Sch 1 \[47\].
