128 Protection and immunity
(1) In exercising any function under this part, the chief health officer has
the same protection and immunity as a judge of the Supreme Court.
(2) A person giving evidence for the purposes of an investigation has the
same protection as a witness in a proceeding in the Supreme Court.
(3) Evidence given for the purposes of an investigation (whether orally
or in writing), or any record of proceedings of an investigation, is not
admissible in civil or criminal proceedings in any court, except
proceedings for an offence against section 129.
