112 Notification of public health hazards
(1) A person must not, without reasonable excuse, fail to notify the chief
health officer of the presence or occurrence, at a place occupied by
the person, in any food, water or air or elsewhere in the environment,
of any substance or matter that the person has reasonable grounds for
believing to constitute a significant public health hazard.

(a) a contaminant; and
(b) an organism that causes, or that may cause, a notifiable
condition; and
(c) any other human pathogenic organism.
