67 Appointment of CHO (1) The Minister must, by Gazette notice, appoint a person to be the CHO. (2) The Minister must not appoint a person to be the CHO unless the person is: (a) a Chief Executive Officer, or employee, as defined in the Public Sector Employment and Management Act 1993; and (b) registered, or entitled to be registered, as a medical practitioner.
