46 Protection and immunity from liability (1) An inquirer has the same protection and immunity as a Supreme Court Judge. Public and Environmental Health Act 2011 26 (2) A person who gives evidence or produces a document or thing for an inquiry has the same obligations and protection as a witness in a proceeding in the Supreme Court. (3) In any proceeding in a court or before a person or tribunal exercising or performing its powers or functions in a judicial manner, other than proceedings in a court for the prosecution of an offence against section 44(1) or (2), the following is not admissible: (a) any evidence given for an inquiry; (b) any record of the proceedings of an inquiry.
