128 Enforcement agency registers (1) The CHO may direct an enforcement agency to establish and maintain a register concerning a public health matter. (2) The agency must establish and maintain the register in accordance with the direction. (3) Also, a regulation may provide for any of the following: (a) the establishment and maintenance of a register; (b) the collection and collation of information to be recorded in a register; (c) the recording of information in a register and the correction or removal of any information recorded in the register; (d) the maintenance of confidentiality in relation to information provided for recording in a register and information recorded in the register; (e) the release of information recorded in a register. (4) A regulation may limit the liability of a person who carries out duties in relation to establishing and maintaining a register for any direct and indirect loss or injury suffered because of the way in which the person carried out or failed to carry out the duties.
