#### 15 Witness to obey summons (1) A person upon whom a summons under section 13 has been served shall not fail to appear or to continue in attendance in obedience to the summons. (2) Subsection (1) does not apply if the person proves that he or she has a reasonable excuse. > Note: A defendant bears a legal burden in relation to the matter in subsection (2) (see section 13.4 of the Criminal Code).
