4 Sale of motor vehicles generally

For the Act, section 136—

(a) motor vehicles, other than special purpose vehicles, are a prescribed class of articles, and

(b) the prescribed noise level for a motor vehicle is the noise level—

(i) specified in—

(A) for a light vehicle—the Light Vehicle Standards Rules, Part 9, Division 3, Subdivisions 2 and 3, as set out in the Road Transport (Vehicle Registration) Regulation 2017, Schedule 2, or

(B) for a heavy vehicle—the Heavy Vehicle (Vehicle Standards) National Regulation (NSW), Schedule 2, Part 8, Division 3, Subdivisions 1 and 2, and

(ii) determined in accordance with Part 6.
