#### 5 Definitions 5 Definitions > In this Chapter— > > marine park means a marine park, within the meaning of the [Marine Estate Management Act 2014](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2014-072), but does not include a part of a park— > > > (a) on the landward side of the mean high water mark of the waters within the marine park, and > > > (b) within an area, within the meaning of the [Local Government Act 1993](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1993-030). > > non-pilotage vessel means a vessel other than a vessel for which— > > > (a) pilotage is compulsory under the [Marine Safety Act 1998](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1998-121), Part 6, Division 3, or > > > (b) pilotage would be compulsory under the [Marine Safety Act 1998](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1998-121), Part 6, Division 3 if the master is not the holder of a marine pilotage exemption certificate under that Act.
