#### 22 Application fee—refunds 22 Application fee—refunds > > (1) The EPA may refund the payment of all or part of an application fee if— > > > > > (a) the EPA refuses the application, or > > > > > (b) the applicant withdraws the application and the EPA receives written notice of the withdrawal from the applicant. > > > (2) If the EPA refuses an application, the EPA may grant a refund considering the administrative costs incurred by the EPA in connection with the licence— > > > > > (a) on its own initiative, or > > > > > (b) if requested by the applicant— > > > > > > > (i) within 90 days of the applicant being notified of the refusal, or > > > > > > > (ii) after the time specified in subparagraph (i)—if the EPA is satisfied there are exceptional circumstances that justify the EPA in considering the request.
