46 Duty to inform occupationally exposed persons—the Act, s 40(2) and (3)(f), (i2) and (j)
> A person responsible for regulated material in a workplace must ensure each occupationally exposed person in the workplace is made aware of, and kept informed of changes in, the following in relation to the regulated material—
>
> > (a) hazards that can arise in connection with the use of the regulated material,
>
> > (b) safety arrangements in place to protect the occupationally exposed person from the hazards,
>
> > (c) steps the occupationally exposed person must take to minimise the likelihood that a hazard will arise,
>
> > (d) the name of the radiation safety officer or other person to whom the occupationally exposed person should refer for matters relating to the use of the regulated material.
>
> Maximum penalty—
>
> > (a) for an individual—125 penalty units, or
>
> > (b) otherwise—250 penalty units.
