#### 25 Exemption for dental assistants 25 Exemption for dental assistants > > (1) This section applies to a person employed as a dental assistant if— > > > > > (a) the person successfully completes a course approved by the Authority under section 30 as a course required for this exemption, or > > > > > (b) at the commencement of this section, the person holds a radiation user licence for the use of apparatus to which this subdivision applies. > > > (2) The person is exempt from the requirement to hold a radiation user licence under the Act, section 7 for the use of apparatus to which this subdivision applies if— > > > > > (a) the use of the apparatus occurs in the course of the person’s employment as a dental assistant, and > > > > > (b) at all times when using the apparatus, the person is subject to general supervision. > > Note— > > This section commences on 1 December 2025.
