#### 14 Exemption for certain medical registrars 14 Exemption for certain medical registrars > > (1) This section applies to a person who— > > > > > (a) is a medical registrar at a hospital, and > > > > > (b) is training in one of the following specialties— > > > > > > > (i) dermatology, > > > > > > > (ii) radiology, > > > > > > > (iii) nuclear medicine, > > > > > > > (iv) ophthalmology, > > > > > > > (v) radiation oncology, > > > > > > > (vi) rheumatology. > > > (2) The person is exempt from the requirement to hold a radiation user licence under the Act, section 7 for the use of regulated material during the person’s training if the person, when using the material, is subject to the following supervision— > > > > > (a) during the first 6 months of the person’s speciality training—immediate supervision, > > > > > (b) otherwise—general supervision.
