16 Application for licence

(1)  [Section 16 Subsection (1) amended by No. 29 of 2022, s. 67, Applied:01 Jul 2023] Subject to subsection (3) , a person may apply to the Board for a licence.

(2)  An application is to be in an approved form and accompanied by –

(a) any prescribed fee; and

(b) a statement relating to the applicant's record of offences in Tasmania issued by the Commissioner of Police; and

(c) a statement relating to the applicant's record of offences in any other place issued by a person holding an office in another State or a Territory that corresponds to the office of Commissioner of Police in this State; and

(d) any consent by any person to the disclosure of information as the Board considers relevant for the purposes of investigating the application; and

(e) any other documents and information the Board requires.

(3)  [Section 16 Subsection (3) inserted by No. 29 of 2022, s. 67, Applied:01 Jul 2023] A person who holds a licence by virtue of holding deemed registration is not required to make an application under this section for a licence.
