17 Eligibility for registration An individual is eligible to be registered as a professional engineer for an area of engineering if— (a) the applicant has the required qualifications, experience and competencies; and (b) the registrar is satisfied that the individual is suitable to be registered as a professional engineer taking into account the individual’s suitability information; and
