#### 14 Guidelines for making advances (1) The Commissioner may, by writing, formulate guidelines to be complied with by him or her in deciding whether to make advances under section 13. (1A) Without limiting subsection (1), guidelines under that subsection may provide that the Commissioner is not to make any advances at all in respect of payments of grants or benefits described in one or more specified items, or all of the items, in the table in section 8. (2) In deciding whether to make advances under section 13, the Commissioner must comply with any relevant guidelines under subsection (1).
