Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This proclamation brings the Weed Management Amendment Act 2007 into force on 1 January 2008 (under s.2). It is a formal executive step: the Governor, acting with Executive Council advice, signed and notified the commencement; the Department of Primary Industries and Water administers the instrument. Mechanically, it does not change the Act’s text — it sets the date from which the Act’s powers, duties and compliance obligations become operative and enforceable.
