Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This proclamation sets the start dates for the Gaming Control Amendment Act 2010: most of the Act begins on 28 September 2010, while section 12 begins on 6 February 2011. The Governor, acting on Executive Council advice, made and gazetted the commencement dates (see s.2 of the Act). Mechanically, it does not change the Act’s substance; it determines when persons and organisations covered by the Act must comply and when any administrative or implementation costs begin to apply.
