Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This proclamation brings the Brickmakers Point Landslip Act 2021 into force on 29 September 2021. Mechanically, the Governor uses the Act's commencement power to fix that date.

It affects people and bodies subject to the Act — including landowners, local government and the administering department — by starting the Act's legal obligations and administrative duties. Costs of implementation fall mainly on government agencies; compliance costs fall on covered private parties. The proclamation does not change the Act's substantive content.
