Proclamation under the Anti-Discrimination Amendment Act 2013 (Tasmania)

Mechanically, this proclamation brings the Anti-Discrimination Amendment Act 2013 into force on 1 January 2014 by exercising the Governor’s power under section 2. It affects individuals, employers, service providers and public authorities covered by the Act because their legal rights and obligations begin on that date. The proclamation does not change the Act’s substance; it only fixes commencement timing (Governor acting with Executive Council). Compliance and enforcement under the Amendment commence from the fixed date.
