#### 315 Proceedings are civil, not criminal (1) Proceedings on an application for a \*restraining order or a \*confiscation order are not criminal proceedings. (2) Except in relation to an offence under this Act: (a) the rules of construction applicable only in relation to the criminal law do not apply in the interpretation of this Act; and (b) the rules of evidence applicable in civil proceedings apply, and those applicable only in criminal proceedings do not apply, to proceedings under this Act.
