34 Disinfection of endoscopes

Endoscopes used at a facility must be disinfected—

(a) using an automatic endoscope reprocessor or otherwise in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, and

(b) in an area that—

(i) has atmospheric extraction facilities, and

(ii) is next to the procedure room where the endoscope will be used.
