57 Recoverable payments—payment of debt

(1) If Plant Health Australia receives payments under section 54, Plant Health Australia must apply the payments in making a payment of a debt (if any) mentioned in subsection 86(2), to the extent that the debt arose because of a purported payment under section 54 to Plant Health Australia. (2) Plant Health Australia must do so before applying the payments under section 54 in accordance with subsection 55(4).
